"With a Polish heart and a Greek soul", is what I called my World Vibe program last evening. It featured Ross Daly, born in Ireland but surely re-born in the place that holds his heart, Crete. Ross plays numerous instruments. His music mixes Turkish and Arabic influences. He's a Master of the lyra, shown here. And, has featured in festivals in Adelaide.

9. Modlitwa: Rybka & Przjaciele. Modlitwa means "Prayer" in Polish. This is a tribute to a young highlander, Marek Labunowicz, from the Tatra Mountains of Southern Poland who lost his life in 2001 rescung tourists in an avalanche. The prayer - asks "How can we accept this tragedy?"

10. To Meraklidio Pouli: Ross Daly. Music of Crete.

11. Jovano Jovanke: Nigel Kennedy and Kroke. East meets West.
